Memories that people have and stories that are passed from generation to generation can help to capture the rich cultural traditions of a community. Former students and staff or those who have been involved with the school over time, each have their own individual stories to tell about life at Rivington and Blackrod. Through the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and former students, we have been able to record some of these memories for these to be enjoyed and shared.
Oral history preserves everyone’s past for the future. Thank you to all who have very kindly taken part.
